Space Heroes Invited

Written & Recorded Spring 2009 by Nate Gass

Notes: It has been a while since I have actually completed a song. It started to get me down so I decided to force myself to write. My goal was to get one song done and uploaded before the end of my spring break. Mission accomplished with three days left to spare!

What The Moon Said (The first night)

What The Moon Said (The first night)

Story by Dan Wartsbaugh
Podcast Introduction by Andrea Gass
Introduction music by Nate Gass
Recorded and Produced March 5 by Nate Gass

Notes: My first experiment with recording spoken word. This is the first of a series of short stories written by Dan Wartsbaugh. The introduction is a snippet of a piece I wrote when I first got Garageband and was playing around with the MIDI. I had a feeling it might come in handy one day. I will probably only post this first story, but if you like it you can go to www.storiesandsketches.ning.com to read Dan's other stories and subscribe to his podcast (recorded by yours truly).

This Town

This Town

Written by Evan Mather
Recorded & Produced November-January by Nate Gass & Jay Jenison (aka The Tragic Magic)

Performers:
Vocals, Acoustic Guitar: Evan Mather
Drums: Jay Jenison
Guitars, Bass, Piano: Nate Gass

Notes: My first time engineering real drums (with the help of Jay). It didn’t hurt that the drums we got to record were Jay’s Vintage Ludwig kit, but not bad for a first time. Great job drumming Jay! This is a full blown good time rock n roll song. I had a really good time doing this one.
